Scarborough amalgamated with the City of Toronto in 1998. It now forms the eastern boundary of the City stretching all the way from Lake Ontario in the south to the City of Markham to the north. The Rouge River Valley forms a green corridor to the east. Scarborough which once seemed apart is now very connected.
